On 28th November 2024, representatives from AHK Egypt attended the inauguration ceremony of the "Ro-Ro" shipping line between the ports of Damietta (Egypt) and Trieste (Italy).
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt; H.E. Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister of Egypt, Minister of Industry and Trade and of Transport and H.E. Michele Quaroni, the Italian Ambassador to Egypt.
Benefits of the new Ro-Ro line:
- Shipment duration from Damietta to Triesta will be 2 hours
- Shipment from Germany to Egypt will arrive in 6 days
- Expand export opportunities for Egyptian agricultural products in the Italian and European markets.
