Within the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative “energy solutions - made in Germany”, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce [GACIC] is organizing the 3rd Jordanian-German Renewables Day, on the topic of wind and solar energy on the 17th of September 2018 in Amman, Jordan.
The initiative is coordinated and financed by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and GACIC is the implementing partner in Jordan.

Following the success of the past two years, it is the third edition of the conference + B2B to be organized. This is in accordance with the recent developments of the Jordanian renewables market which is one of the highest achievers in the Middle East with several hundreds of Mega Watts already installed. Jordan sets a high priority to utilize renewable energies to raise its energy security and achieve its sustainability goals.

In line with the ongoing support of GACIC for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and after the success of numerous previous business delegations on wind and solar energy, the conference is held on the occasion of an incoming delegation of several German companies providing technologies and services in the field of Solar and Wind energy.

The conference will focus on:

• Energy Transition in Germany, National Strategy and Regulations for Jordan
• „Made in Germany“ Panel with the German Delegation on Technical, Market Ready Solutions and Economical Feasibility for Solar and Wind Energy in Jordan
• Case studies of successfully implemented projects in Jordan
• Finance tools and legal framework in the field of Solar and Wind in Jordan

High-level governmental officials and private-sector experts as well as speakers from the banking sector will present the latest developments in the Jordanian renewables market.
The B2B meetings will be held following the conference day on the 18th and 19th of September 2018 at the premises of the Jordanian companies.
