The German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) was established in Egypt in 1951. Representing more than 2,500 members, AHK Egypt is the largest organization in the framework of business cooperation between Germany and the Arab world. It plays a pivotal role in fostering trade and industrial development, enhancing business cooperation among Germany, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. A further key focus of the AHK is on skills and training as a means to support the fostering of bilateral business relations. Here, the AHK offers management and continued training courses for members and customers. It also focuses on vocational training, including establishing a vocational training system based on the German dual approach. This involves supporting dual vocational training in partnership with local companies and training institutions, as well as providing policy advice. Additionally, through various special projects, AHK supports skilled labor migration from Egypt to Germany, including the Skills Expert project.
About the Training & Qualification Program:
The training & qualification programs at the German-Arab Chamber of Industry & Commerce (AHK) are organized by its commercial entity DE International Egypt. It is responsible for all of AHK’s public and tailor-made management and continuing education training. Such training is a crucial factor for individuals as well as for companies in order to ensure competitiveness. The program team of two is an integral part of AHK’s “Competence Centre Skills and Training,” which also includes vocational training programs and various skilled labor migration projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Development & Expansion: Execute and continuously adapt and expand the training portfolio.
- Needs Assessment: Identify the requirements of members and customers regarding management and job-related skills.
- Partnership Building: Expand partnerships with partner organizations to further develop the training portfolio.
- Content Creation: Continuous development of new training courses to address the qualification needs of members and customers.
- Quality Trainer Network: Creation of a network of trainers and partner institutions for such courses.
- Marketing: Actively market these offers to members and customers of the AHK.
- Program Management: Within the broader training department team, oversee the management and continuous education programs, Skills Expert project activities, and closely coordinate with other training and migration projects within the institution.
- Financial Planning and Monitoring: Ensure the financial planning and monitoring of the training programs.
- Coordination: Maintain ongoing coordination with the department head, management of DE International, as well as AHK’s membership and PR teams.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant degree, preferably in business administration, education, social studies, or law.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in training and project management, ideally including a leadership role.
- Proven project management experience, including budget and personnel responsibilities, with a strategic and goal-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Ability to build, maintain, and expand industry-specific networks.
- Strong communication and marketing skills.
- Enthusiasm for a customer-driven role with excellent organizational skills.
- Experience working in an international team or with international clients, demonstrating strong confidence and self-awareness in an intercultural setting.
- High proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Determined, resilient, and able to cope well under stress.
