Siemens has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the General Authority for Industrial Development, witnessed by H.E. the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel Al Wazir. Present at the signing were Stephan May, CEO of Electrification and Automation, Siemens AG, and Andreas Matthe, CEO of Electrical Products, Siemens AG.
This agreement is a significant step towards developing and localizing the manufacturing of low- and medium-voltage electrical products and systems, such as medium-voltage electrical panels, electrical distribution panels, and low-voltage circuit breakers. It aims to boost Egypt’s industrial capabilities as part of a plan to make Egypt a regional hub for industry and manufacturing in the Middle East and Africa.
The partnership is designed to enhance Egypt’s industrial capabilities and solidify its position in the industrial sector of the Middle East and Africa.
