Egypt’s first Dry Port filed visit – The “October Dry Port”

Dear Members of the German-Arab Chamber for Industry and Commerce,

We are pleased to invite you to a field visit for the first dry port in October City. As key players in the industry, we believe that you will find this visit informative and engaging.

The field visit will take place on Tuesday July 18th ,2023 at 10:00 AM.

During the visit, you will have the opportunity to see the facility, learn about its features and capabilities, and hear from ODP team about the benefits of using the dry port, specifically, observing the loading and offloading of cargo, tour the storage facilities, and meet with key personnel to discuss the port's operations and any challenges or opportunities they may be facing.

We believe that the dry port has the potential to significantly improve Egypt’s logistics and supply chain efficiency.

Important Note:

  • Registeration is for members only
  • Security clearance is required for all visitors. The National ID must be attached to the registration. In case of non-Egyptians please attach a copy of the passport, maximum ten working days prior to the visit.
  • The bus start moving at 8:00 am in front of the German Arab Chamber of industry and commerce building.
  • In case of cancelling the registration, please send an official email for cancellation 3 days before the visit as we have a limited number for participation, and this would allow us to give an opportunity for others on the waiting list to participate.
  • Trip is fully funded by German Arab German for Industry and Commerce; however, Transportation fees may apply.
  • Three days before the trip, an email will be issued to confirm your reservation.
