On June 4th, 2025, the AHK Egypt Pharmaceutical Working Group hosted the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA), headed by Dr. Hesham Azmi, along with Deputy Dr. Mona Yahia and Legal Advisor Mr. Shady El Wakyl, at the AHK Egypt premises.
The meeting addressed the National IP Strategy and outlined the main challenges facing German pharmaceutical companies in Egypt. The discussion highlighted the importance of publishing the guidelines for pharmaceutical examination that the authority is developing.
We were also pleased to welcome Ms. Mona Dagher, Head of Dagher IP Office, EGIPA, who presented key challenges faced by German pharmaceutical companies in the field of intellectual property—sparking valuable discussions aimed at finding practical solutions.
Also representing the Authority were additional members of the EGIPA team.
