We were delighted to host our AHK Exclusive Business Dinner: Egypt's Industrial Fingerprint, on 14th April 2025 at the Sofitel Gezirah Hotel. This event was hosted under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry.

 

We were joined by Mohamed El Sallab, Chairman of The Industry Committee in The Egyptian Parliament as our guest speaker. During his opening speech he pinpointed the importance of the Egyptian and German bilateral relationship which helps advance and boost the localization of Industries.

 

In the first panel of the evening titled “Localize to Lead: Advancing Egypt’s Industrial Sector”, the moderator Maren Diale-Schellschmidt, CEO, AHK Egypt and the panelists Dr. Alaa Attia, Business Development Manager, EIPICO, Mohamed Abdelrasoul, CEO, Knauf Egypt and Nadeed Fathalla, Co-Founder, El Eskafy discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by the private sector during the process of localizing their products in Egypt.

 

During the second panel titled “Redefining Egypt’s Industrial Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities”, the moderator Eng. Dina Rizk, Director of Development, Elsewedy Industrial Development and the panelists Dr. Nermin Abu El Atta, Senior Advisor to the Vice Prime Minister, Ministry of Industry (joining virtually),  Major General Hazem Anan, Deputy Chairman of the Authority for the Development and Management of Industrial Zones , Industrial Development Authority, Dr. Khaled Soufi, Chairman, Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality and Dr. Mohamed Shehab Abdelwahab, Operational Director, Industrial Development Group (IDG), focused during their panel discussion on the legislations, bureaucracies involved in advancing the industrial sector in Egypt.
