On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt) signed a cooperation protocol with ElSewedy for Transmission and Distribution to enable the AHK Egypt’s Logistics Working Group to actively participate in the pilot phase of the implementation of the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) on the Subra–Banha Highway.
The meeting included a detailed presentation of the project timeline for the phase, discussion of the mechanisms for launching the pilot phase, and coordination with the member companies of the AHK Egypt Logistics Working Group to ensure effective involvement in this important initiative.
A comprehensive technical briefing on the ITS system was also delivered, followed by a discussion of several recommendations and proposals submitted by the Logistics Working Group. These contributions aim to support the system's development in a way that meets the needs of the private sector and enhances the overall efficiency of road transport.
AHK Egypt reaffirms its commitment to supporting digital transformation initiatives in the transport and logistics sector and to strengthening public-private partnerships to foster a more efficient and sustainable business environment in Egypt.
