The German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt) organized a workshop entitled “Latest Customs Facilitation Measures and Procedures” on 8 July 2026.
The workshop highlighted recent developments in Egypt’s customs system and measures aimed at facilitating trade and improving customs clearance efficiency.
Key topics included Minister of Finance Decree No. 262 of 2026 and Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority Decree No. 84 of 2026.
Participants also received an update on the new Risk Management System, its classifications, and the procedures applicable to each risk channel.
The workshop further addressed the automation of manual fees, manual valuation, and administrative charges.
The sessions were led by Mr. Ahmed El Asqalani, Vice President of the Egyptian Customs Authority, and Eng. Gamal Kotb, General Manager of MTS.
The workshop provided an opportunity for the business community to engage directly with the competent authorities and discuss practical customs challenges.
Through this initiative, AHK Egypt continues to strengthen public-private dialogue and support the facilitation of trade and improvement of the business environment in Egypt.
