The German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt) convened its Annual General Assembly on June 16, 2026, at Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah, where the Chamber presented an overview of its activities and its members elected a new Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by AHK Egypt CEO Maren Diale-Schellschmidt, followed by an address from Chamber President Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, who reflected on the Chamber’s achievements over the past two years and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic ties between Egypt and Germany.
H.E. Jürgen Schulz, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Egypt, also addressed the assembly, highlighting the long-standing economic partnership between the two countries and underscoring the important role played by the Chamber and its members in fostering bilateral trade, investment, and business cooperation.
Following the presentation of the Chamber’s annual reports and the completion of the meeting’s statutory agenda, members unanimously approved the discharge of the outgoing Board of Directors for the 2024–2026 term. The outgoing board was honored during a special recognition ceremony, during which board members were recognized for their dedication and service over the past two years.
A key highlight of the evening was the election of the Chamber’s new Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term. The newly elected Board of Directors includes executives representing a range of member companies active in the Egyptian-German business community.

Following the election process, the newly elected board held its inaugural meeting and unanimously elected Mostafa El Bagoury, CEO of Siemens Egypt, as President of AHK Egypt for the 2026–2028 term. Amir Nader Riad of BAVARIA Egypt was elected Vice President, while Eng. Mohamed El-Sheikh, CEO of Electro-Mechanic for Energy (EME), was elected Treasurer.
