AHK Egypt was proud to participate in the graduation ceremony of the 5th cohort of El Sewedy Applied Technology School – Diarb Negm, Sharkeya, which took place on 28 July 2026.
AHK CEO Maren Diale-Schellschmidt congratulated the 100 graduates who successfully finished their 3-year apprenticeships in electrical and mechanical vocations with the AHK international certification. The graduation took place in the presence of H.E. Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, H.E. Mr. Hassan Radad, Minister of Labor, H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, and H.E. Eng. Hazem El Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkeya, Eng. Mohamed Zaki El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Founder of El Sewedy Foundation for Services and Development, Dr. Salma El Bakry, Founder and Chairperson of Balanced Education company, alongside distinguished representatives from industry and education.
Eng. Mohamed Zaki El-Sewedy expressed his pride in this flagship education initiative and its role in preparing Egypt’s youth to compete in a rapidly evolving global workforce. He also announced the launch of El Sewedy School for Applied Technology – Food Quality & Safety for Girls in Diarb Negm, Al Sharqia, opening new pathways for young women to build skills and pursue promising careers.

During the ceremony, the Egyptian participants to the 2026 WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai were also recognized.
